Huntsville High School Cross Country Tryouts


Tryouts will be held on May 5th for rising 7th Graders and up. This is open to any newcomer interested in trying out for the Huntsville High School Cross Country Team.

April Character Word

Our character word for the month of April is SPORTSMANSHIP. Sportsmanship is fair and generous treatment of others, especially in a sports contest. Sportsmanship is respect for one’s opponent, and graciousness in both winning and losing. Good

sportsmanship builds teamwork and character. It teaches respect, honor, discipline, kindness, inclusion, resilience, perseverance, and so much more. Some examples of sportsmanship include shaking hands, helping an opponent up, encouraging others, and being respectful to everyone including teammates, the opposition, coaches, parents and referees.
