July 27th 2025 - Busy week ahead, M2M and New student orientation July 31st, Cub Community Day August 1st, and medication drop off

There are two events at school this week.

If you are new to JVE (New Student Orientation is a great place to start).


If you are returning to JVE we can't wait to see you at Cub Community Day!


All the Things at Cub Community day:

⏰ 1-4pm all grades are invited at the same time, if needed 12-1 *Sensory Friendly* 

💚 Stop in to meet your teacher and see your classroom

🐾 Drop off school supplies (if you ordered a supply kit it will be in the cafeteria for pickup under your students name)

💙 Join PTA! $10/single membership, $150/Cub Club (incl. 2 memberships) Please go to the volunteer page and fill out our interest form for the new year!

🐾 Order your field trip t-shirt and more!!

Nurse Jessica will be on campus July 31st & August 1st for medication drop off! Please reserve your slot to drop off here.  

Important information below:

All medications to be used at school must be registered in the health office, brought in by a parent (not sent with your student) and include an updated doctor's form. For example, inhalers, epi-pens, cough drops, and ointments are all considered medication and must be registered if it needs to be at school.  New over-the-counter medication policy: ALL over the counter medicine will require a doctor's form if it will be kept for more than 2 weeks. This includes Tylenol, Ibuprofen, Zyrtec, and Benadryl. You can email Nurse Jessica.hipp@hsv-k12.org if you have other questions.

Please help us make car line safe for our sweet kiddos by following some simple details as the new year begins:

☀️ Morning: (Front Door Only)

✔️Drive 5mph

✔️Have kids exit on passenger side

✔️Use Zipper Merge

❌ Don't speed

❌ Don't get out of the car with your child

❌ Avoid using your phone

🚗 Afternoon Front Door:

✔️Do make sure your child knows their number (even aftercare and walkers)

✔️Display your car rider number on your passenger side visor

✔️Follow cone directions

❌ Stay off your phone

❌  Don't turn right at the front door

❌ Don't hit Ms Jackson or Ms. Alexander

🚌 🚗 Afternoon South Door:

❌ Don't pass the buses

✔️Wait patiently in the center lane on Garth

✔️Display your car rider number on your passenger side visor

✔️Turn right out of the south door in the afternoon

❌ Stay off your phone

❌ Don't turn left out of the south door in the afternoon
